In these testing times we believe that we shall not forget those in need. The last couple of weeks we have seen mainly those who are "Hamster buying" and stockpiling food, basically going crazy in the supermarket but what about those who are economically not in the position of buying anything, there are many people in Berlin who are happy to have a meal once a day and can't even plan ahead. 

THE SHOW MUST GO ON

The Grocery Show is an ongoing series of events analyzing social behavior, habits and traditions deeply manifested within our society mainly with using art as an excuse. Previous shows aimed at bringing art close to people who usually wouldn't  or couldn't go to an opening for various reasons. This time (we have planned this for a long time) we have decided to turn the so called "Grocery Show" into a charity, let's call it a performance where the ones who need it the most can benefit from a simple act, a small gesture and can rely on a sustained effort. 

SPREAD THE WORD

Tell this to everyone who is in real need, who don't know what to do because their fridge is empty, who are desperate and not able to go shopping because they don't have the money or need to wait several days or weeks to get paid / get support.  The first phase of this project ended in April. After receiving several positive feedback we decided to continue the project with slight changes. 

Please: This is not for the ones who don't want to go into minus (Dispo) with their bank account, the project is aimed for people who are in real need and financial crisis. 

Of course we all stay at home and follow all the recommendations and precautionary measures but for now the Grocery will open from Mon-Sat 10am-7pm. 

A poet, a sufi master and a sculptor we all know or at least have heard of, they are the inspiration for this project. Here are some words by these great men that should inspire us all:
